According to Eric Turner, COO, all seven of its new ‘Zero Pollution’ paint booths are now fully operational. Designed and built by Netherlands-based HBC Systems International, HP&C is the first industrial firm in the nation to install the HBC System “Zero Pollution” extreme performance coating booth technology. Designed to replace traditional carbon incineration methods of reducing air emissions, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) resulting from spray paint operations, the new booth design utilizes a high efficiency, three-stage, patented filtration technology that captures 98% of all emissions from spray painting processes.

According to William Howard, president and CEO of HP&C, the Company has installed the seven new paint booths at both its South Houston and Humble plants. “We are thrilled to be the first installation of this new technology in the United States. It is a significant investment, but one we feel it is important for us to make in protecting the environment, as well as allowing for the expansion of our operations without the need to seek additional permits. This new technology was originally developed for the automobile industry, but is equally applicable to high volume spray coating operations, such as HP&C’s.”
